Tron Hoodie

The quest for the perfect Tron inspired garment you probably know, I've been doing some work with EL wire which is great, but has it's limitations. EL wire isn't very durable, and can render a garment unwashable if permanently affixed.
The answer: blue glow in the dark fabric!
Glows amazingly bright when "charged" in full sunlight, and is totally washable. I haven't used these fabrics for long, so I'll update how they hold up over time.

Doesn't look like much, but this fabric charges in sunlight and glows blue.
I prepared all the glow in the dark fabric to be cut out and placed on the sweatshirt.
I used some fabric glue to tack the glow fabric into position. I have all of my accent placement marked in chalk. Always fun to draw with chalk!
I used a narrow satin stitch to secure each piece of glow fabric into place.
After all of the glow fabrics were stitched I assembled the hoodie as usual.

Happy Glowing!

  2. I just found this blog and have high hopes for it to continue. Keep up the great work, its hard to find good ones. I have added to my favorites. Thank You.

  3. They are tighter and sexier than the hoodies made for men and because of their smaller size, usually cheaper. The most popular colors are purple, red, yellow, pink and white. Get one for yourself today. Champion hoodies
