Fun with EL Wire

I have been loving the "wearable technology" movement that is now developing.

I have been doing lots of research and playing around with some raw materials, and this is my first completed project.

Batgirl: Stephanie Brown

There are many incarnations of Batgirl, and this is the latest as worn by character Stephanie (I know she's had some tough storylines, now let her enjoy this costume) Brown!

I was asked to make the cape, bodysuit and utility belts. (you can never have enough pockets!!)

The Bodysuit:

 

 Since this bodysuit has  those purple side panels I was able to eliminate the side seams that would typically be there.

I love the Booster Gold design, so after making the jacket, I was looking forward to making the entire costume.

I gave the blog a little retooling and decided to re-cap on one of the most fun and crazy events of the year- adventures in being an extra while wearing my costumes!
