It's always fun to take on commissions, and one of the latest completed was that of the "Lil' Red Hat". This is for a choir show for O'Gorman High School out in South Dakota. It seems they are very serious about their chorus shows out there, so I was glad to be able to help them out. They needed 22 red pillbox hats- and if you have read this blog before, you know that I know how to do pillboxes!
I love to sew and make things, and I want to share my process. My inspiration has not changed from what I thought was awesome when I was a kid. I hope you enjoy what I do.

How to Video: Making a Pillbox Hat (for Dr. Girlfriend, of course)
I am finally entering the new age of video- boy, you just wait until I get my new camera and tripod all set up.....you'll be sick of seeing me telling ya what to do!
Anyway, this is my 5-part series of making a pillbox hat by hand mostly using instructions from www.vintage sewing.info (site does not seem to be working at this time). Millinery supplies were purchased from Judith M, who is having a big sale in November! So enjoy the educating......
And don't forget to check out my youtube channel from time to time.
